I love this song. And to hear her performing it live in this video moved me to such peace and understanding.

5 Things My World Showed Me Today
1. So...France doesn't like veils. Uh...okay. Only men. Only men.
2. April 11, 1954 was named the most uneventful day in history. Poor April 11, 1954, I weep with you and those BORN on that day who's lives must've been or still remain uneventful as well.
3. Government remains. We The People are so lucky. (insert sarcasm)
4. China hates Christianity.
5. China REALLY hates The United States.

5 Things My World Showed Me Today
1. California is having major issues with criminals within its Psychiatric Hospitals...like murder...and the fact that violence is up 37%.
2. NATO is "unknowingly" blowing up rebel Libyan forces. The rebels say they've informed NATO of their tanks, NATO says they had no knowledge of the tanks.
3. Milk has killed babies in Japan. I heard an excerpt on NPR this morning where a guy said that people are basically being paranoid about the radioactivity issue. Oh...okay!
4. I've gotta addmire the crazed Republicans' determination on the budget. It might serve America more if it were for the betterment of "We The People" and not their own agenda.
5. Portugal needs financial assistance; so do I. And so does the majority of college-bound Americans. But guess which group is more likely to get help from America? And it won't be "We The People."

5 Things My World Showed Me Today
- Beijing, China believes outlawing luxury “terms” will enslave their people into thinking all are equal, while allowing luxury promos on their soap operas.
- Blockbusters refuses to die quietly like Borders bookstores.
- Adorable squirrels attempting to dash across the street early mornings should fear overtly-caffeinated moms in unassuming family-styled cars.
- In 1965, Medicare was formed for the elderly, serving 7 billion of them.
- In 1972, Medicare was extended to include the disabled, which has resulted in a spike of 500 billion people aided in 2010.

5 Things My World Showed Me Today
1. Some dude on NPR's Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) show "This Way Out" believes that America hasn't seen angry gay men, and that if we had we'd fear their societal powers more.
2. Again on "This Way Out" I learned that the LGBT doesn't have a Civil Rights headman, like a MLK, Jr.
3. I know many lesbians, gays and bisexuals (no transgenders, though) and I guess I was just a dumb, ignorant, black straight woman for just viewing them as fellow friends and countrypeople.
4. Everyone (even LGBTs) want to be validated, loved and appreciated for their differences, not just Native Americans, Negroes and Puerto Ricans.
5. Connecticut weather is confused. As it always is.

2. Michelle Obama must've okayed this choice because behind every great man...
3. The radiation contamination issue is bigger and more relevant than any world government is willing to admit to its people.
4. I look like "Boo Boo The Fool."
5. No one is gonna give up driving to boycott the ever rising gas prices.

5 Things My World Showed Me Today
- Wheelchairs aren’t the easiest things to operate on grass.
- Wheelchairs are more easily maneuvered on grass if you push off with your feet towards a backwards direction.
- Spring’s on the calendar but snow and cold are in Connecticut’s forecast.
- Year after year we Northeasterners act as if it should be warmer.
- Mother Nature could give a shyt about Northeasterners’ feelings about the cold air’s war with the warm calendar date.
