Typing Test Addict

Hello, my name is MissNikkiAnn, and I am a typing addict, doing it for the heck of it.  It is a passion.  Has been since I got my first "typewriter" in 5th grade in the early 1980s.

missnikkiann's typing test WPM

I type every single day.  And if I did not, I do not think that I would be as calm and sane as I am.  My fingers hit the keys with a force that feels as if I am releasing a great burden.  But even if I could not type for lack of proper equipment, I would be just as passionate about and drawn to taking pencil or pen to paper every single day (I've been there and done that, too.).

So, yeah, the issue is really about the words.  And it has nothing to do with the writing being sensible; I am just as happy typing/writing a single word over and over again (I do that a lot) or typing/writing out my favorite quotes and song lyrics.

And if I had not a single, external physical tool, I would write in my mind (as I often do and always have done).

So, yeah, it's about expression.  And no matter what shape or form it takes, we all have our ways of doing it.

Me...I like to type.

Satsang with Mooji

I have viewed and meditated on this particular satsang twice.  My enjoyment of the awakening it provided moved me to share it with my audience.  Enjoy.

Terence McKenna, my good people, Terence McKenna.

His words always awaken and stir something within my human body.  Something that doesn't require my mind to go about thinking.  Something that is innately, quietly, and mutually understood by those whom it resonates with.

And his words appear to create and navigate waters that are upon us.  Each of us is helping to chart the way.  The things we discover, eventually unfolding the revelation that the next undiscovered discovery is but a short creation away.  Spirit waiting to fulfill its eternal journeying.

And that is the fear, that the creation never began and will never end.  The fear that grips us, causing hysteria, panic and discombobulating mental states.  We are out of control of a thing that is uncontrollable, trying to imprison that which is free.

And yet, the Soul feels no one way about it.  It just Is.  Always has been and always will be.

Be good.

Be patient.

Be ye not in control.

But be ye at peace within the uncontrollable.

And be ye in the awareness that it has ALWAYS been this way.

Bow Our Heads...

Mooji: Falling in Love...With Self-Contemplation

My favorite part is at about 00:19:00 (19 minutes in) when he says:

"I don't believe anybody, actually. Everybody tells lies. It's just not true. We make things up all the time and present them as if they are profound truths. And then, oh god!, pay lots of money for somebody to tell you 'oh dear, you have a terrible problem, you have got the biggest problem in the world, dear!'. We make a lot of things up and then we believe them into existence and suffer from the thing we give so much importance to. Peace, joy, silence is the easiest thing for you, but it's just not appealing because we have such a fascination with a roller-coaster existence."

Then Mooji gives a hearty laugh; the kind of laugh that proceeds offertory wisdom but precedes the human existence, "the cosmic giggle," as Terence McKenna used say.

I love it!

Ain't It The Truth, Ruth!: "Minister Farrakhan - 3 Things To Never Teach Black People"

And I must say...massah did a guud job not teachin nuffin.

But glory be to the great "I Am" (God)...if our compassion were worth its weight in gold...

As I always tell my friends in confidence:
"You don't have to worry much about the black man; he don't pump fear in anyone but his own people, for he reaches not far from home to steal and rob what he needs.  The one to watch is the friendly corporate man adorned in what appears to be neutral clothing and air. Him. He be the one. Watch for him, for even in your slumber, he is coming for you. Always.  And he's a cannibal, eats the flesh of his own--ask 'middle class' America about him...they're learning what we niggas already knew..."

My Creative and Meditative Truth

Today I listened to this while doing my daily writing.  I often listen to Mooji and write at the same time.  In the end, the writing becomes more of a releasing-until-I am-facing-the-void process, than one where I am actively seeking some self-imposed and forced creative outcome.  Because that's too easy.

We are creatures.

We create.

It's just that some do so without recognizing it for the innate/unavoidable thing that it is.

So when writing turns into more of a meditative state, it feels like a such blessing.

Readings of "No More Tears" By YouTube's DysautonomiaMD (performed by @DysautonomicOne)

What Dysautonomia Looks Like

I know this wonderful woman.  And guess what?  She is a medical DOCTOR.  And guess what?  Despite that fact, she received the same bad medical and psychological treatment that most dysautonomics face on their journey.  Sad that a documented illness is unknown by the majority of those in the healthcare field.  Help us to end the ignorance.  Many of us are dying while doctors sit around scratching their heads, or more commonly, throwing in the towel.  Guess what Elvis died of?  He had dysautonomia and died from a typical complication that goes with it.  You can also add Tammy Wynette to that list and most recently Brittney Murphy.  And then there are my internet friends: gone.  Help us.

Sex After Kids: a possible movie in the making...

I like the idea behind this film.  And if I had money (I don't), I'd use it to back this film.  But maybe you have money (I don't).  And if you do have money (I don't), I think it would be a worthwhile investment for you, since you have money (I don't).  Cool.

Looks Around Her Blog...

Life is strange.  I never know why most of my visitors are visiting my blog.  I do know I have a handful who have been reading it since 2006, beyond that, the reasoning behind the things my viewers and subscribers click on are outside of my understanding.  It would be hard for me to take a whole lot of credit for most of what is happening on this blog in the last year or two; things on the interwebs are odd: lots of re-blogging/re-vlogging/re-posting/rehashing of information.  And I do not want to give the wrong impression; I am not against any of these things, and do them simply because I, too, enjoy doing so.  But the fact is that my enjoyment of it has grown my "viewership," which is totally different than readership.

See, I go to people's blogs to read, not really to view vlogs--I save that experience for YouTube, which I am on lots.  But blogs I am fond of because of the fact that I get "to read," and have always enjoyed doing so.  I have a Tumblr, but find it hard to keep up there because it is mostly about rehashing (which is fun!) pictures.  After I've had my fill of food porn and cute animals, my interest wanes and I find myself checking my email for updates from people's blogs or hitting up Twitter or YouTube for more personable exchanges and intimate world news.

And that's all any of it is: exchange.

And like with anything else we humans enjoy, we all have our preferences.  And if that preference leads someone to my page, then I am willing to roll out the red carpet.

So, hello to my newer "viewers" and my throw-back readers!

Welcome to MissNikkiAnn's House!

MissNikkiAnn’s @Klout: FOX VIP Swag

I must admit, because of this perk, I became a “New Girl” sitcom fan.  I am not a television watcher, and would have never known about this show without Klout and FOX VIP bringing the experience right to me.  Now I Tivo it and transfer the show to my laptop to watch at my leisure.

And the best part was receiving freebies throughout the Perk.  My favorite was the “New Girl” swag, which consisted of a t-shirt, fake nerdy glasses and a little carrying tote that caught the eye of many people this past summer (as did the shirt)—go figure!

These are pictures from my FOX VIP Klout Perk.

The Misadventure of MNA: I Hate Hospitals

I spend way too much time at hospitals and doctor appointments.  Tuesday through Friday are designated hospital and doctor days.  Thursdays I am in the hospital all day.  Tuesdays are ALWAYS double-booked with doctor appointments; and so are half of my Wednesdays.  So imagine my horror yesterday when I was in the hospital for my weekly infusion, only to wake from a wee nap to find out that I was being carted over to the emergency room.

From what I understand, my nurse got nervous after having given me a big gallon enema that NEVER came out.  I am used to enemas entering into the land of no return; I'd told my doctors and nurses about how, when I do them at home, they NEVER come out, and that if the do, it'll be 24-hours later.  I guessed no one believed me...so they panicked when witnessing it happen.

In the emergency room, I was given another bottle of magnesium citrate (cause I'd already had my two helpings of Miralax that morning, and my other helping of an entire bottle of magnesium citrate the day before. I've been alternating the two laxatives for two weeks without relief.) and another gallon enema.  Guess what?  No shit.  And by this point I'm getting sicker and sicker because I was in need of the infusion that had ended abruptly.

Two doctors wanted me admitted.  Another doctor was a straight ass.  Guess who got to assume power over the situation?  The ass.

I will say no more.

"Be good.

Be patient.

Be in the moment.

Don't Be An Ass."

Cordially,

MissNikkiAnn
